Hi my name is Andrea, Resident Astrologer for Rising Woman.
Astrology saved my life.
Over 10 years ago I was in a dark depression after yet another bad breakup and couldn’t seem to shake it no matter what I tried.
I went to many astrologers, psychics and tarot card readers trying to find answers. Why were relationships so hard for me? Was I doomed to be alone forever?
During that time I was told by an astrologer that I was “Unlucky in Love”. That phrase changed my life.
Part of me was afraid that what she was saying was true, but I had a deep intuitive sense that something wasn’t right about what she told me.
I HAD to learn how to read my own chart as soon as possible! I had to prove her wrong.
I dove DEEP into astrology and spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours on courses...
Friends even started to wonder if I had lost my mind, but nothing that anyone said was going to change my mind… I was committed!
I learned from so many teachers, watched Youtube videos for days on end, read every astrology book I could find, I visited bookstore after bookstore, searched online repositories and went to as many astrology readers as I could afford at the time. I studied western, vedic and hellenisitc schools of thought with some of the famous teachers alive today.
I literally became obsessed with knowing everything about astrology! (during those early years I almost felt bad… anyone that would come close to me who brought up something happening in their lives would suddenly be the recipient of every aspect of their chart as my phone became my magic wand revealing their deepest need in the moment.)
My astrological obsession became a process of deep self discovery. I learned we are so much more than our Sun signs, I learned that our charts have higher and lower exemplifications,I learned that each person has challenging planets somewhere in their chart and each has the benefic planets (the planets that give us gifts) somewhere.
No one is exempt from pain, and no one is exempt from the gifts of life.
After my years of study I started to offer readings for friends as a way to practice. I of course did this for free for them to start and get even more experience over time…
She loved my style and found my readings to be super accurate. At the time she had a small following and asked me to start writing Moon reports for @RisingWoman. I agreed and together we have grown the astrology audience to 2.5 Million who read my monthly astrology reports.
Her personal brand and Rising Woman has several courses and even her new book that his bestseller status before even being released!
Both myself and Sheleana have been traumatised by readings that were very wrong and planted seeds in our minds that weren't helpful. Together we decided to launch an astrology course that’s different from everything out there, that combines many systems and is trauma informed.
Like the lady who gave me the “Unlucky in Love” prognosis, we saw over and over that when astrologers only use 1 system, they are more likely to see things from a more limiting lens in their readings.
That’s why this woman told me I was Unlucky in love. She only saw one perspective and one possible outcome… my supposed miserable life. I may have challenges in love, but through understanding all of the systems, I learned how I could transmute those challenges so I could experience what I want.
It’s my belief that astrology is a language we can ALL learn.
It’s a profound tool for self discovery and awakening. For those who feel called to learn more about themselves, there is no greater tool for growth and self understanding.
I’ve combined my years of study in astrology, tarot, life coaching, the esoteric arts, coaching, shadow work, plant medicines and energy healing into the Mystic Astrologer program.
My unique system combines both modern and ancient, eastern and western ancient schools of thought. I don’t see one system as better or more valuable than others - they are all true and they are all accurate in their own ways.
What matters most is that we use this profound tool of self awareness as a blueprint for our growth and evolution in life. What a gift we’ve been given! It’s my hope that every person on earth learns to read their own chart by understanding the language of the stars.
